Installation and Wheelieability
Followup and stunting:
Why Overkill?
Because fuck you, that's why.
But for real, this kit can take anything you can throw at including a 500a noisy cricket or huge QS motor(qs and surron pulleys available) which is 100% overkill for these tiny bikes.
Marketing BS
Tired of cleaning chains or that piece of shit tensioner? Want to stealth around without Karens bitching at you because of that noisy chain? Me too. That's why I started using belts on all of my bikes back in 2021. I immediately fell in love. I had to share this discovery with others. So, I quit my job and racked up a bunch of debt. I have no regrets and I am truly proud of what I was able to create. I am sure you'll love using a belt instead of a chain as much as I do.
Tough as Shit
The belt kit has been designed from the ground up to be tough as shit. The front pulley has been CNCed out of a single block of 304 stainless steel. The rear pulley has been CNCed out of a huge ass block of aluminum.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Quiet
- No maintenance
- Clean
- Long-lasting belt life
- Smoother power delivery
Cons
- Initial price. Over the kit's lifetime, the savings from chain replacements, lube, and maintenance will make the overall price of the belt kit lower.
- Hardcore off-road dirt bikes use chains. Doing a full-throttle wheel spin while in the air and then landing hard puts a lot of strain on the drivetrain and can lead to a belt snap. The old V1 kits are very susceptible to this but the V2 seems somewhat resilient to this abuse. If you plan to do this note that belt snaps won't be covered and you should opt for the more durable aluminum rear pulley for enduro style riding.
- Can’t do low tooth count front pulleys.
- Does not do well in deep snow. The snow builds up in the pulleys and can snap the belt.
Features
- Quieter than chains
- Rust-free stainless steel and aluminum pulleys with stainless hardware
- Easy install using basic tools and an angle grinder
- Maintenance free
- Slits for debris to pass through including mud and small rocks
- Easily removable front pulley using a crank arm puller
- Smooth power delivery
Motor Compatibility
- EC4P V3 only. EC4P V1 and V2 require upgraded V3 shafts. The V3 shaft has a darker color than the V1 and V2 shafts.
- MY1020(including Vevor and Kunray)
- The One
- Stock brushed motors
Not Supported
The following motors are not and will not be supported:
- KR5V
- FW11
- GTS11
Gear Ratio Breakdown
Understanding the gear ratio of your Razor Bike is essential for predicting its performance, especially in terms of torque and top speed.
Here's the rundown:
- Rear Pulley: Come in either 78 or 79 teeth.
- Front Pulleys: Come in either 13 or 14 teeth.
Belt kit ratios:
- The 14T front gives a ratio of about 5.64 (79/14).
- The 13T front offers a ratio of about 6.07 (79/13).
To put it in perspective with a #35 kit:
- If you have a 65T rear, the 14T front pulley's performance is similar to an 11.5T #35 sprocket.
- The 13T front pulley is similar to an 11T #35 sprocket.
These ratios hopefully give you insights into the torque and top speed you can expect from your setup.

- Rear pulley
- 24mm wide belt
- Front Pulley Removal Tool- only for double d bore motors(not the one)

- Krikit: included with all custom and Electro & Company extension kit orders.
- File- for use on old beat-up motor shafts only. Use with caution to file out imperfections only. Most will never need to do this.

Belt Tension Tool
Want to know how much tension is on your belt? The best way I have found is to use the Krikit. All kits with Electro & Company or custom extension will include this tool for free. The instructions and video for how to use the Krikit are on the product page.
Welded or Fixed Freewheel Required
We require all belt kit customers to have a fixed or welded freewheel. If you do not, we will not be able to cover any broken components such as motors, wheels, frame, etc... I am not just saying this because I sell welded freewheels. I have to sell the welded freewheels because many beta testers and customers have found that the stock freewheel doesn't last long and causes extreme drivetrain ware and failures. The stock freewheel was not intended to have the level of power you push through your bikes. Trust me, weld that freewheel!
If you do not already have a welded freewheel and would like to add one to your order, get it for 50% discount when ordering with a belt kit. This discount will apply automatically on checkout.
Installation
Be sure to check out the installation guide. Please note that damage from improper installation will not be covered in any way. Be sure to read through this carefully.

Questions?
How do I install it on my bike?
Check out the installation guide
Regen?
Absolutely. Just be sure to not overheat your motor and weld your freewheel.
SX vs MX?
The MX and SX have the same distance from the motor to the rear wheel so the belt length is the same.
What about all the other Razor models?
With a bit of work you can put a belt kit on the following razors:
- MX350
- RSF350
- MX400
- Pocket Mods
- Dirt Quad(Probably)
Let me know what model of Razor you want a belt drive kit for by filling out this form.
What about the old chain tensioner?
Try to unscrew it. I didn't have much luck unscrewing mine so i just cut the bitch out.
What about the old freewheel?
Freewheel stays but needs to be fixed/welded. The rear pulley mounts on to the freewheel just like the old sprocke. Highly recommended using a welded freewheel as this reduces wear and tear on your drivetrain drastically.
Should I worry about snapping a belt?
One time I snapped a belt while testing the limits of the belt's tension. Under normal tension the belt should not snap or skip. If you hear skipping you should check the tension on your belt. Be sure to check out our installation guide for proper installation techniques.
Does it squeek in the rain like my car belt?
No. Only v-belts do this. Timing belts don't slip or squeak even when soaking wet.
Mud?
Not so much with the V1 kit. The V2 kit has slots for debris to pass through the pulleys if you do a lot of mud trails.
What is better for off road riding?
For hardcore off road riding where sticks and shits gets in the gears chain may be better. Most hardcore dirt bike riders use chains. Probably for a good reason. I am working on a tool free belt replacement option that may work well for this scenario.
How did beta testing go?
